Witches night out!

I must admit, I am not normally a "dress up" kinda gal when it comes to Halloween. I am happy to get my kids all dolled up, and I love to see all of the cute/scary/clever Halloween costumes. But I prefer to watch it all while wearing a comfy pair of jeans and a warm sweatshirt. So this year when my good friends suggested that we start a new tradition of "witches night out" I was a bit leary. I wasn't sure that dressing up as a witch--and on a day that was NOT Halloween--to go out to dinner and to "Thriller" Dance performance was a good idea. Yet I gave in to peer pressure and headed out for the evening with these witches:

(Everyone had such great and unique witch outfits. I quickly grabbed as many girls as I could to take individual shots, but in my rush, I missed several witches, and I forgot to change my ISO that was set at 6400! Ooops!)









Let's be honest, it would be hard not to have a good time with these gals!! Everyone looked at us like we were crazy at the restaurant and we nearly froze sitting in the outdoor amphitheater on one of the coldest days of the season so far. And we made some fantastic memories! I feel like one of the luckiest girls around to have so many great friends!

Odd man out

Ever feel outnumbered? I imagine this guy feels that way most of the time. However, its gotta feel good to have these 5 gorgeous girls all loving you!! I'd say that is one lucky man!

4 sweet girls

I puffy heart love these girlies! Who wouldn't love hanging out with these sweet girls every day? I know I would. By the end of our session together they were asking me if I could please be their stepmom...how sweet! I'll take them. But I'm pretty sure that they would be asking for their sweet Mama (coming in a future post) before long. For now, enjoy this sweet capture of these beautiful girls.

I recently had the opportunity to participate in my first mentoring session. Now,I feel like I still have so much to learn and a very long road ahead of me in my quest to become a great photographer. But I have improved a ton and become comfortable enough with my camera that I feel like I have a few nuggets of information I can pass along...at least to those who are very new to this whole photography thing.

Anyhow, during our time together, Camille introduced me to this little beauty.









And while the itty bitty one wasn't in the mood to be in the spotlight, we snapped a few of this beauty. So fun!

Just because

I was out searching for locations, and my girls decided to be good subjects for me...I LOVE it when that happens. The poor girls get sick of the camera in their face all the time. Anywhoo, here are just a few that make me happy.

Mini me

Okay, let's start off with this darling, little guy. I hate to break it to you, people, but this is the cutest kid I know. Seriously. I even have to rank him right up there with my own. He's pretty dang adorable in pictures, but when you get him talking...ahhh, he just melts me.





It's pretty easy to see where he got his good looks from. I wish I had a picture of his Dad when he was 3...they look almost identical (minus the red hair, of course).



He has such a great Dad, who absolutely adores him. I took these two out to capture some special moments between Father and Son.
