New Year and a New Giveaway!!

So it has been on my to do list for, oh, at least six months now to sit down and figure out the whole Facebook scene. I know, some of you think I am silly for thinking it is a chore to figure out Facebook. It is so simple, right? Well my brain and Facebook do not click...at least not until now! I think I have successfully created a Facebook profile and a page for my photography. However, these pages won't actually be successful unless I have some fans. So here is where the fun--and the giveaway--comes in.

Here's how it works:

1. Become a fan of Dion Seneca Photography on Facebook and get entered in the drawing for the awesome prizes below!

2. Email 5 people (and CC dionseneca@gmail.com in the email) to let them know about this contest and get another entrance into the drawing for the awesome prizes below! (If the names of these people are not apparent by their email addresses, then I will need you to somehow let me know their names for #3.)

3. Each time one of the 5 people you emailed becomes a fan of Dion Seneca Photography on Facebook, you get another entrance into the drawing for the awesome prizes below! (They will also get an entrance into the drawing.)

4. And finally, since I need all the help I can get, leave a comment on this post with your best Facebook tip or your favorite thing about Facebook, and you can get one more entry into the drawing for the awesome prizes below!

Since I want this contest to be BIG, BIG, BIG, I have come up with some AWESOME PRIZES...

Prize #1: FREE individual session and CD with full resolution images!
(That's right, you don't have to spend a penny!)

Prize #2: 1/2 PRICE family session and CD with full resolution images!
 (A savings of over $100)

Prize #3: 2 FREE 3x3 mini accordian albums with your session
(The perfect size for Grandma to throw in her purse.)
The drawing will be held on Tuesday, January 19th so be sure to check back for the results. (All sessions must take place before March 15, 2010.)

Now what are you waiting for? Get on over to Facebook...I need some fans!

The obvious best thing about Facebook is catching up with old friends and family members, but one of my favorite things about Facebook has to be playing Scrabble with my cousin. He lives in Washington state. I haven't seen him in over 10 years, but we've been able to stay connected while playing this game. All you need to do is search for Scrabble in the upper right corner of Facebook, go to the application, and then play to your heart's content with family and friends. You can chat while you play, which makes it even better. I don't know if you're a word game nerd like me, but if not, there are also all kinds of other games on Facebook to pass the time.

How fun! Hmmmmm a tip for facebook...upload lots of great pictures and TAG people in the pictures because that will get people to your site and photo albums.

I like to be able to contact old friends so we can get together. I have also liked to ask peoples opinions about thinks under my update status and also mostly to hear from family and what they are doing!

Facebook is how I attend my high school reunions. I can see what they are doing, where they live, how many kids they have, and answer all of the questions people ask over and over at reunions. It's awesome since I don't do well in most social situations. :)

I've heard Facebook is a great way to network for a business, so good luck! FYI - I emailed a bunch of people, but cc'd d_seneca{at}gmail.com. Love, love, love your pics! Especially the ones of Lindsey's kids.

Michelle :)

Facebook really gives you the chance to keep up friendships and relationships that long distance often dampens. That is what I have really enjoyed about it.
